Welcome
Established in 1939, Corinth Missionary Baptist Church is a place where families and individuals can experience God. Our congregation comes from all walks of life and embrace worship, fellowship, and outreach. Gary M. Renfro, the third Pastor of CMBC, calls all members to Commit to a Kingdom Cause.
At the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, we are “a place where individuals and families can experience God”. This is our vision – this is our hope. “And this is eternal life, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent.” John 17:3, To know God and His Son Jesus Christ is to experience Him. To experience His love, peace, joy, and power is having an encounter with Him. We believe that God pursue us in order that we may have a relationship with Him that is real, practical and personal. Experiencing the God of our faith is essential to our Christian walk. Experiencing God as a church is essential to our witness in the world. We stand on the legacy of individuals and families who have sacrificed and served this church to make it what it is today. Through its leadership and membership, Corinth has stood as a beacon of light for wayward travelers. As we look to the future, we will join God in the future chapters of our history as He invites us to be part of the work He is doing in us, through us, and with us. We believe that we can and will make an impact for the kingdom. Be a part of the experience of a lifetime.
This is our Vision
The word of God says that where there is no vision, the people shall perish. In that vein, by seeking God and in communion with His Blessed Son Jesus Christ, Pastor Gary M. Renfro set forth the vision for the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. In the two thousand and third year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the vision that was defined for the CMBC ministry was
To be a place where individuals and families can Experience God.
2018 Church Focus
Mission Minded for Mega Ministry
Our goal for this year is to focus on ways that we as a church/ministry can increase and enlarge our efforts as it relates to works [what are we doing for the kingdom to be realized here on earth?]. I want to see us do more for the cause of the kingdom by putting our faith into action as individuals and as a group. The question we should be asking is how can I/we do more?
- If it is starting something new to meet a need that is mega (more).
- If it is expanding what we are already doing into other areas that is mega (more).
- If it is joining others is what they are doing – that is mega (more).
